Coating concept for metal frames in SOFC fuel cell modules
The target of the concept are low unit costs enabled by high troughput and long service life. Contamination of mechanical components inside the process chamber has been minimized.

Continuous vacuum transfer of substrate tape or wire material
One of our basic design rules for continuous coating is to place everything outside, which doesn’t belong in vacuum. This principle gurantees maximum flexibility, access, and control, and avoids contamination and frequent maintenance of mechanical components. Examples are wire feeders for crucible evaporators or the supply of substrate tape through the TapeGate, without touching the sensitive coating surface (e.g. for coated conductors or photovoltaics).
