Ismaning, 20th August, 2021 – THEVA celebrates its 25th anniversary this summer. Founded as an early spin-off of the Technical University of Munich in 1996, today THEVA is one of the longest-standing and most successful companies active in the field of high-temperature superconductors (HTS) and the only European manufacturer of high-quality HTS wire for magnet technology and electrical engineering. Far beyond the production of materials, THEVA is also actively promoting the use of superconductors for the climate-friendly transition of power technology. Just in time for its birthday, THEVA has successfully closed its fifth financing round with its existing shareholders. The investors are eCAPITAL, Bayern Kapital, Target Partners, Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft (BayBG) and members of the management. The manufacturer of high-temperature superconductors is thus preparing for the first large volume orders from the sector of magnet technology and assembling a growth financing round.
