World-Record magnetic field reached with 2G HTS
The National Magnetic Lab at Florida State University is one of the leading institutes in magnet technology. Their latest achievement is the construction of a magnet reaching 45.5 T - 0.5 T more than the former world record. This was possible through the use of 2nd generation high temperature superconductor wire.
