Superconductors in high-current cables

2022-11-28T17:16:49+01:00November 28th, 2022|

Prof. Mathias Noe and Dr. Markus Bauer published a paper about the application of superconductors in high-current cables in Physik unserer Zeit. You can download the paper here: Paper "Without Resistance"   Excerpt: Superconducting cables and wires are well developed and the first economic applications are foreseeable. One obstacle to widespread application is the still insufficient number of successful prototypes in long-term use. On top of that, there is a lack of knowledge about the many possible applications and the degree of maturity of the technology.
